Lazio defender Luiz Felipe apologizes for jumping on back of Inter's Joaquin Correa

Correa confirms no hard feelings between players

Pundit says referee should not have known about incident

WEB Lazio defender Luiz Felipe has taken to Instagram to apologize for jumping on the back of Joaquín Correa during their Serie A match on Sunday. The incident occurred in the second half of the match, with Lazio trailing 3-1. Felipe jumped on Correa's back in an attempt to stop him from breaking away on goal. The referee awarded Inter a penalty, which was converted by Lautaro Martínez, and Felipe was sent off.

In his apology, Felipe said that he "reacted badly" to the situation and that he "should have kept his emotions in check." He also said that he had apologized to Correa personally and that the two players were still on good terms.

Correa confirmed that he and Felipe are still friends, saying that "it was just a moment of madness" and that he "doesn't hold it against him." He also said that he hopes Felipe will learn from his mistake.

However, one pundit on French TV said that the referee should not have known about the incident independently of if he really knows or not that Felipe.
